Kind-Hearted Beauties Story

My name is Karissa Barrell and I am the owner of Kind-Hearted Beauties. I live in Kutztown, PA with my husband Mike, two daughters, Kya and Haley, and our dog, Blitzen. Mike and I were born and raised in Kutztown and have known each other since preschool. We were high school sweethearts and have been married for 16 years. Fun Fact: my maiden name is Kutz and my great grandfather 7 generations ago founded Kutztown!

I graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and from St. Joseph's University with a MBA in Marketing. I work full-time at Circana as a Market Research Consultant and have been with my company since June 2004! 

I love to volunteer! I am the PTO President for my daughter's elementary school, vendor coordinator for Christmas in Kutztown and Kutztown Oktoberfest. I am treasurer of Emerge Booster Club for my daughter's dance studio.     

In early 2021, I decided to open my own boutique out of my home carrying clothing, accessories, purses, bags, arts & crafts, toys and so much more! I try to have a little something for everyone! Kind-Hearted Beauties encompasses both of my daughter’s first name initials and our last name initial. I love giving back to my community, so Kind-Hearted fits perfectly! My logo encompasses my favorite flower and colors!
